PaperCut NG

This application is fundamental for organizations and entities who have a computer network with a high level of users and wish to control how much the Internet and printing services are used.

PaperCut NG allows us set limits to the time spent browsing the net and printing documents.

The program admin sets a given number of credits to each user which will be used according to their actions.

Credit loss will be greater depending on the number of pages that are printed, the paper size and the format of the page (black and white or color). Variables like connection time and the amount of downloaded megabytes will be used to determine credit loss.

When a user spends all their credit, they are not allowed to access the Internet or the printing service. The program can be used to monitor both activities or only one of them, without affecting the other.

It requires that a system works as a proxy server and another server for printing in your local network.
